Position Overview
The Business Development Intern will support CSS in identifying growth opportunities, supporting proposal development, and contributing to the operational and strategic functions that drive the organization forward. This internship is designed for college students interested in business strategy, sales, consulting, or entrepreneurship. Interns will gain hands on exposure to how a consulting firm operates while developing professional and analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the request for proposal process including research, drafting support, and document organization
- Conduct background and market research to support business development initiatives
- Assist with preparing presentation decks and proposal materials for internal and external use
- Take organized notes during meetings and assist with summarizing key takeaways and next steps
- Learn and apply professional communication and business etiquette in internal and external settings
- Assist with finding opportunities, deadlines, and business development activities
- Contribute ideas and insights to support strategic planning and growth efforts
- Support special projects related to leadership development and organizational initiatives as assigned
- Prepare and present a polished, professional presentation at the Annual Intern Breakfast
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a college or university program related to business, management, communications, economics, or a related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Interest in consulting, business development, or organizational strategy
- Ability to conduct research and synthesize information effectively
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
