Challenge
Los Angeles World Airports needed to strengthen cross departmental alignment and improve clarity within its compliance and safety communication materials in preparation for upcoming strategic initiatives. Teams required support in understanding communication standards and ensuring consistency across documents that would guide future projects.
Approach
CSS led a week long series of Communications Workshops that brought multiple teams together to review and strengthen key compliance and safety communication documents. In collaboration with Delano Stevenson and supported by the leadership direction of both Stevenson and Harold Samms III, CSS created an environment that encouraged open discussion, shared understanding, and clear expectations. CSS also contributed to the development, editing, and refinement of LAWA’s communication documents by integrating team feedback to improve accuracy and effectiveness.
Outcome
The workshops increased alignment among teams, improved clarity within compliance materials, and strengthened understanding of the communication requirements needed for future initiatives. Through the development and refinement of more than 80 procedures, participants gained clearer insight into how their roles and responsibilities influence strategic projects and are now better prepared to support upcoming efforts.
