Challenge
The Jacksonville Transportation Authority needed a comprehensive and consistent employee training program to support its implementation of the UKG Ready platform. Staff had varying levels of system knowledge, which created issues with timekeeping, payroll accuracy, leave management, and overall system adoption. Leadership required a structured and user friendly approach that would build employee confidence, reduce errors, and improve operational efficiency.
Approach
The project began with a training needs assessment to identify user skill gaps and common pain points. Customized training modules were then created to cover core UKG functions including timekeeping, scheduling, leave requests, approvals, payroll workflows, and employee self service tools. CSS facilitated interactive training sessions for frontline staff and supervisors that included demonstrations, guided practice, troubleshooting, and hands on exercises. User guides, quick reference sheets, and scenario based materials were developed to reinforce learning. Training was delivered across multiple departments and schedules, and progress was monitored through attendance, assessments, and participant feedback to refine instruction as needed.
Outcome
Employees gained the skills and confidence needed to use the UKG Ready platform effectively. Accuracy in timekeeping and leave submissions improved, and supervisors experienced greater clarity in approvals and reporting. System adoption increased across the organization, resulting in fewer errors and more efficient HR and payroll processes.
Proof
The feasibility studies confirmed that Jacksonville and Cincinnati offer compelling expansion opportunities, supported by robust local partnerships, available funding avenues, and favorable long term conditions for building a diverse technology workforce. These findings validated NPower’s potential to successfully extend its mission in both regions.
